Class Projects

Throughout my time at UNCSA I had the opportunity to create artwork for a variety of classes. Each of these projects was created for a different class in which I chose to use visual art.

The Wizard of Oz

This class was based around all the variations of The Wizard of Oz. I created a series of postcard size paintings following the path of the yellow brick road.

Self, Society, and the Cosmos

This painting project allowed us to chose one particular reading from the course and express it on a canvas. Mine represents the meeting between the human realm, shown by natural colors in the background, and the spiritual realm painted in odd shapes and colors on top.

Self-Portraits

These two images are self-portraits representing different aspects of my life. The first is a picture of myself from several years ago looking into a mirror with a reflection of myself today looking back. The second is a collage of images showing important memories from that year.

Daily Artwork

For my second year lighting design class we were asked to create one piece of artwork every day. I chose to paint these images from a drive along the blue ridge parkway.
